I use the attached script by Bernd Kreuss (RT97.iss). I've modified it to
English, and added support for exporting to text/excel (dragon.iss) You'll
note from my script that I don't really understand .mdw files and just
install the thing everywhere!
I have also deleted the contents of the runtimes self register files (*.srg)
as recommended here:

I've yet to encounter any problems using a combination of these two methods
but I would gladly take part in any attempt to create the perfect Access
install.
